Barrie Common Roof – Expansion Plans Continue

New Path Foundation staff and board members continue to be busy with work to benefit our community through fundraisers such as our annual Not Just Jazz event which took place June 2nd this year as well as further developing policies and procedures for the newest Common Roof in Orillia. Efforts to finalize plans for the New Path AGM set to take place June 19 at the Barrie Country Club are underway with Youth Engagement the focus as our youth take the lead in this planning process.

A busy time; and while there has not been much dialogue of late of the Barrie Common Roof expansion the foundation is still working on this most recent development feature and do continue to pursue the options to make it happen.

A predetermined numbers of tenants are required to obtain funding approvals so as to move the project forward.  That is two floors of the four storeys or 20,000 sq ft of the proposed building need to have agency tenants in place with the intention to partner or rent.

New Path Foundation is working on getting costs finalized for the expansion, an item which will directly relate to expenses required of the stakeholder tenants. Efforts to determine measurable timelines for the development of this facility continue through initial consultation with urban planners as well as forth coming discussion with City planners.

New Path continues to spread the word about this proposed new facility and how it can positively impact our human-service not-for-profit agencies. Your interest in this expansion is greatly valued. As planning moves ahead for this project further communiqués will be broadcast.

If you know of an organization that requires space to manage effective programming or administrative operations please forward their contact information to either Neville Twine or me. We welcome further inquiries from your agency as well and New Path Foundation staff would be pleased to visit your board to further discuss the project.
