Wendy Fairley -  Past Chair

Wendy was the founding President of New Path Youth and Family Services Board of Directors, working diligently to amalgamate the visions and passions of three boards who came together. Currently Wendy is the chair of New Path Foundation Board of Directors. As part of that role Wendy supports the need for alternative funding that would come from a successful social enterprise venture such at “The Common Roof”.

Wendy is well known for her advocacy for the rights of children in Ontario to timely, effective mental health care. As a board member on CMHO and the incoming chair of Safeguards, she continues her energetic efforts to lobby for increased children’s mental health services.

For over thirty years Wendy made her career in education as a class room teacher, special education teacher and Principal with a focus on children with special needs. From personal experience and from work in the classroom, Wendy gained a respect for those children in our society who often, by no fate of their own, suffer from mental health disorders.

Presently Wendy works as a consultant to the Ontario Principals’ Council, teaches special education for Nipissing University and supervises new teachers at Nipissing U’s faculty of education.

With her husband Neville, she founded the Twine Bridge Fund for Kids in the hopes that others will see how valuable giving to New Path Foundation can be for the children and care givers of Simcoe County. At this time, in this challenging financial environment, many of our children are at risk. If you have experienced services from New Path Youth and Family Services or if you work at the agency, you know how much treatment can make the difference. Please donate to any of our funds and make that difference: one child at a time!
